SR45 Assembled Stainless Steel Guide Rod

Add weight to reduce muzzle flip and decrease follow up shot time of your SR45® with our Assembled Stainless Steel Guide Rod. Also allows use of different spring rates to tune the pistol to your needs and handloads. The flat wound springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs. These are polished and assembled with Loctite to your needs. Select spring rate and retainer screw color (polished stainless or blacked tool steel) and we'll put it together as requested.

We offer fully assembled units captured like factory in 15lb, 18lb, 20lb, 22lb, with a polished stainless or black retainer.

Factory spring rate is 18lb.

    Would going up to 22lb from factory 18lbs for sr45 be better for self defense &last longer wear & tear

    Depends on the load you plan on shooting the most. If it's a standard pressure load you can get away with the 20lber. If it's 185gr or high pressure self defense loads go with the 22lber.
