Stainless Steel Guide Rod Assembly

Direct drop in for your stock guide rod. Made in the US, OEM grade springs with US made stainless steel rod. The flat wound springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs.

Select your spring rate, stock is 17lb, we recommend a 20lb or 22lb for 40 S/W and 357 Sig calibers.

Sorry we do not have any gen 4 or gen 5 rod assemblies. We just haven't had a lot of interest in Glock parts so we haven't really expanded our offerings.

Is 20 pound spring recomended glock 17 for all around ammo

It will work well with standard pressure and high pressure ammo. The sub sonic loads will not cycle correctly normally if they are actually subsonic. Some lower grade bulk practice ammo brands will have very low pressure charges and will have cycle issues also.

Stock 17lb or step up to the 20lb, defensive ammo will be higher pressure and the higher rate will work well with that.

Why do you guys recommend a 20lb recoil spring for Glock Full size .40?

The higher the spring rate the greater the reduction in felt recoil and muzzle rise. In .40 with it being such a high pressure round, 20lbs is the way to go.
