Heavy Striker Spring

A 20% over stock striker spring to directly replace the stock striker spring in your SR centerfire pistol. Designed to insure ignition for CCW, it also fixes the light strike issues found to plague some pistols. Includes a new striker cross pin.

Our spring kits are made to last from actual High Quality Chrome Silicon and not inferior Music Wire like other kits on the market. Made to our specs from ISMI, a leader in spring manufacturing for Formula One as well as the firearm industry.

This spring will only work with the SR it is listed for. I have ISMI working on a spring kit for these and hope to have it up for sale soon.

No that is a different weapon with a different fire control system. Currently we do not have a hammer spring for the for the PC9 but if I get enough interest I'll offer one.

What material is the heavy striker spring made from?

Chrome silca spring wire, for longer life and corrosion resistance. Not cheaper music wire like some companies use for springs.

I mixed up the stock spring and the new one. I'm assuming this being the heavier spring that it's the longer one?

Length does not equal rate. Depending on the generation of the SR it may be longer or shorter. Ours is 1.750 inches sitting free.

I wasn't having problems (yet) but knew my round count was getting pretty high on the factory original spring. Since I was upgrading with the Ultimate reset bar, I also installed this spring as a pre-emptive upgrade. Seems like it works fine, absolutely no problems after install.

I had my 9E for 6 years now very solid firearm but lately every time I go shoot it in my favorite range, I was getting light primer strikes from 1 per mag and by the third range session I was getting 5 per mag. It worried me since I have great respect for Ruger firearms but I never lost hope and did some solution searching. Thank God for Galloway precision for selling essential upgrades for my 9e. After installing the upgrades, it now runs like a dream again. Thank you.

Both of my weapons are now several years old and have several hundred round through them. All of a sudden I started having light strikes on both my SR9 and SR9c. It got to the point that I was beginning to lose confidence in them. Did some research and found that this issue often appears and is not new to the platform. Ran across Galloway and the replacement striker springs. Ordered and watched the how to video and now all is good again. Galloway is great too work with.

Product is exactly as described, high quality replacement spring with higher spring rate. Main reason I wanted to write the review is for the quality of service Galloway Precision gives. Wasn't sure if I needed it or not so while I was knee deep in the upgrades. Why not just go for it. I have the SS guide rod w/20# spring, ultimate reset bar, heavy striker spring, smooth it kit and Lionheart short stroke trigger. I went from ok to great and got a few practice rounds today and a few more for tomorrow. So far its great not a single hiccup nor even a birp. Thanks Galloway you made a good handgun a great handgun. It shoots better than some 7 to 800.00 handguns now. Keep up the good work.
