Stainless Steel Assembled Guide Rod for the Ruger-5.7
Upgrade that factory plastic guide rod to one of our new Stainless Steel units. Introducing the Galloway Precision Stainless Steel Guide Rod assembled with our Flat Wound Recoil Spring. We are offering three spring rate options here; a 10% Reduced rate, a Factory Spring rate, and a 10% Increased rate. These springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more pleasurable shooting experience verses inferior Music Spring Wire springs.
Choose from the 10% Reduced, Factory (OEM), or 10% Increased spring rate, and select a Blacked or Polished Stainless retaining screw to suit your preference.
Fits Ruger Ruger-5.7 Pistols.
As always, proudly made right here in the USA.

I don't understand the plus 10 minus 10 what is the factory? Does it shoot faster or slower?
Aug 20, 2024, 12:07It is increased or decreased spring rate by that amount. It doesn't alter how fast the bullet is, just the slide speed as it cycles. The lower rate is for lower pressure ammo to aid in cycling it. The higher rate is for standard or higher pressure ammo to help reduce muzzle flip via recoil.

Pros and cons of the +10 or -10 spring tensions?
Jun 24, 2024, 09:17-10 is for lower pressure ammo when you have slide cycling issues, also will help if you add an optic and have cycle issues due to the extra mass. The +10 is for higher pressure ammo to help with recoil.

Michael MolloyOct 7, 2024, 18:18I've had my Ruger 57 for a few years and the recoil spring has seen a lot of love. The spring itself is fine, but the plastic rod is getting chowdered enough that the integrity of the rod is usable, but questionable. This is a great, solid fit and fits great. The action seems smoother than the stock unit, and I cannot wait for my next range day.
