Spectrum Assembled Stainless Steel Guide Rod
Our Taurus guide rods are made of Stainless Steel and come pre-assembled with a 10% increased rate recoil spring. This is a drop in unit. The recoil spring is made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs.
Fits Taurus Spectrum Pistols.

What is the weight of this spring vs the original? And do you have lighter recoil springs ?

MaxFuryXMar 13, 2023, 19:15My wife has the Taurus spectrum and so far it's been a great little carry piece for her. That being said, I've always had a heck of a time when cleaning that thing due to the factory spring is such a pain to get back into place. I recently ordered the captive spring and man what a game changer! This is how it should have been from the factory. I think it even feels like it shoots smoother too! Thanks Galloway for making quality parts and fast shipping.

David SuhrJan 18, 2022, 19:30This captive spring/guide rod makes assembling the Spectrum very easy. I have put about 100 rounds thru it using this product and it works great. I love the gun, so I bought another one (terrific sale at Sportsman Warehouse) and ordered another captive spring/guide rod. Comparing the original guide rod and spring with the new captive one, I would say the captive one is just a little harder to rack, but so close it is barely noticeable. If you have a Taurus Spectrum, this product from Galloway is a must have.

Joe GarciaDec 26, 2021, 22:15Been waiting since Oct. for these to get re - stocked , purchased and received earlier this week , re-assembled my spectrum and went to the range on friday 12-24..put over two hundred rounds thru it and it ran great ! I can't compare it to the original spring because I never got a chance to shoot it since i bent the spring so bad trying to get it back in it just sat in the safe in pieces till the galloway spring came in. All I know is the spring and guide rod worked great .! If you own this gun then you need this spring .
