TX22 Compact Assembled Stainless Steel Guide Rod
Our Taurus TX22 Compact Guide Rods are made of Stainless Steel and come pre-assembled to your spring rate selection. Our guide rod units allow use of different spring rates to tune the pistol to your needs and handloads. The recoil springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more pleasurable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs.
Our recoil springs are made to last of actual chrome silicon spring wire and not inferior music spring wire like some other manufacturers.
We offer fully assembled units captured like factory in factory spring rate, 10% increased, or 10% decreased. The 10% decreased spring rate helps cycle better for lower pressure loads.
Comes with your choice of Polished Stainless or Black Cerakote Retainer.

I have the Jesse’s Girl suppressor I keep on my TX Compact. Want to… however, right now I have a high fail to reset rate. It will eject the spent casing, but won’t reset. I can slightly pull the slide back after each shot and hear the click. Then it’s ready to fire. Will an increased spring help cycle subsonics consistently?
Jan 8, 2025, 08:25You would go lower on the rate for sub sonic loads. The reset issue doesn't sound like a failure to battery though. If you have to pull slide back to reset it that sounds like the trigger bar isn't going far enough forward to reset reliably. So either a trigger return spring or a trigger that limits the trigger travel is set wrong.

When will it be available? I don’t want to buy the cheap Taurus replacement! But don’t want to wait too long. Do you have any available in the warehouse?

I see the note about the decreased spring but what is the purpose of the increased spring? Can you elaborate on the differences between the two and the stock spring and what disadvantages there may be to changing the stock spring?
Jul 9, 2024, 07:50Going lower will help cycle low pressure ammo, going higher will help with recoil control and muzzle rise with higher pressure ammo.
