TX22 Compact Assembled Stainless Steel Guide Rod

Our Taurus TX22 Compact Guide Rods are made of Stainless Steel and come pre-assembled to your spring rate selection. Our guide rod units allow use of different spring rates to tune the pistol to your needs and handloads. The recoil springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more pleasurable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs.

Our recoil springs are made to last of actual chrome silicon spring wire and not inferior music spring wire like some other manufacturers.

We offer fully assembled units captured like factory in factory spring rate, 10% increased, or 10% decreased. The 10% decreased spring rate helps cycle better for lower pressure loads.

Comes with your choice of Polished Stainless or Black Cerakote Retainer.

I see the note about the decreased spring but what is the purpose of the increased spring? Can you elaborate on the differences between the two and the stock spring and what disadvantages there may be to changing the stock spring?

Going lower will help cycle low pressure ammo, going higher will help with recoil control and muzzle rise with higher pressure ammo.
