M9-22 Stainless Steel Guide Rod Assembly

These are direct drop in replacement guide rods, captured with a new recoil spring for your M9-22 and M9A1-22 chambered in .22lr. Upgrade that factory polymer guide rod with our new Stainless Steel unit. Our guide rod assembly also allows use of different spring rates to tune the pistol to your needs and handloads. Available with a Stainless Steel or Blacked Stainless Steel Guide Rod. The flat wound recoil spring is made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs. These are polished and assembled with Loctite to your needs. Select spring rate and guide rod finish and we'll assemble it as requested.

Choose from Blacked Stainless Steel or Stainless Steel Guide Rod with your choice of -10%, OEM, or 10% increased rate recoil spring.

Fits Beretta™ M9-22 and M9A1-22 Pistols chambered in .22lr.

As always, proudly made right here in the USA.US Flag

I (just today) put a reddot on my m9-22 and with that extra weight of the optic I am having issue with the slide functioning properly. I am using cci mini-mag, I am going to try cci stinger tomrrow to see if that helps. Would the +10% spring help this situation?

If your having cycle issues with the extra mass you should consider going lower with the spring rate, that would be where I would start so it takes less energy to compress the spring and has more for the trip back. The hammer spring is the source of the biggest part of resistance in the system though.

Will the stainless steel guide rod and 10% reduced spring work on a 92fsr .22lr?

Sorry we have not tried those, the only model we know it works with are listed.

My M9 .22 recently started to stovepipe (after 2500 rounds) 1 in 10 shots and sometimes the slide does not lock open after firing last round.
I’ve read pros and cons about increasing spring strength. Since you offer three options- what’s your opinion?
    Thanks!

If it just started I would look at the ammo and state of cleaning on the pistol. 22 is pretty dirty by nature so a detail cleaning or field strip in a ultra sonic cleaner is always a good option with a quality lube. If it is just starting with an ammo change then I would say it is ammo and to swap to a different brand or type that it works better with. Stove pipe issues are generally dirty weapon or weak ammo so I would check those to first.

Can I purchase your recoil springs separately? I’ve worn out two and they are challenging to get from Beretta. I’d buy the rod and both standard and lightened spring rate.

Sure can, you can reach out to lynette@gallowayprecision.com for spares. We will add the listing for replacement springs for our rod soon.
