TP9SF Elite Full Size Stainless Steel Guide Rod Assembly

These are direct drop in replacement guide rods, captured with a new recoil spring for your TP9. Our guide rod assembly allows use of different spring rates to tune the pistol to your needs and handloads. Available with a Stainless Steel or Black Oxide Billet Steel Retainer. The flat wound recoil spring is made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs.

Now available with our new performance Striker Spring at a reduced price, sold separately for $14.50. Chrome silca spring wire, not music wire, is used for the highest quality performance striker spring available for the Canik pistol line. Custom made and designed by ISMI, for us, to offer Canik pistol performance in a complete spring package. These are not repackaged Glock springs that "fit". You have your choice of 3 lb or 4 lb striker spring.

*** The reduced power 4 lb is a good reduction for a lighter pull and good ignition of standard or higher quality primers.

*** The 3lb is the lightest option giving an even lighter pull but will need higher quality primer ammo, low grade bulk practice ammo will struggle with the 3lb spring and should be avoided.

Select Black Oxide Billet Steel or Stainless Steel Retainer and your choice of 15 with Reduced Rate Striker Spring, 18 with Reduced Rate Striker Spring, or 20, 22, or 24 pound flat wound recoil spring with an option of adding the reduced rate striker spring. Stock rate is 19.1 lb. *** We have seen recent models shipping with a lighter 17lb recoil spring. *** 15 and 18 pound units require the reduced rate striker spring for proper function.

Fits Canik TP9SF Elite Full Size Pistols Only. *** Does NOT fit the Elite Sub-Compact or the Elite Combat Pistols. ***

As always, proudly made right here in the USA.US Flag

Why don't you guys carry a lower rate recoil spring lighter than 20 lbs. my Canik Elite pistol won't cycle light target loads with a 20 lb spring, it's unaffordable to run more expensive rounds just to target shoot, you can't tell me that it won't work because I don't see any difference than the way a Glock works.

That is due to the high striker spring rate. The lower rate recoil springs will hold it out of battery. We have new lower rate striker springs being made now for the canik to allow for use with lower recoil springs for just your needs, should be out very soon.

I have a new TP9 Elite combat executive. Shoots perfectly fine 'stock'. I added a red dot and it still shot fine. I have added the compensator and am now seeing what looks like failure to feed going into battery issues. I am a little confused by some of the questions / answers: 1 - my comp (Strike Quad) is relatively small and light , but in any case it sits on the barrel - so why would the weight of the comp have any effect since it does not reciprocate? It is only the compensation effect which has a meaningful impact correct? If any weight is a problem it would be my red dot which adds weight to the slide? Also I have read of people recommending lower weight springs - shouldn't it in fact be a higher weight spring? In any case - what would your recommendation be? Thanks for your advice.

9mm doesn't create enough pressure to work a break, the only advantage they do in the 9x19 weapons is mass on the end to reduce muzzle flip via the mass. That makes locking and unlocking more difficult, worse if your using low pressure bulk 115 grain practice ammo that has less energy to cycle the slide from the start. I would recommend using nato pressure level ammo like the pistol works best with and was designed around for some testing then looking into spring based on that result.

I'm planning to get either a screw on compensator or rail mounted, a blue recoil spring is what was recommended, is the 20# going to be sufficient?

The comp is going to be heavy so a higher pressure ammo to actually cycle the slide will be needed and a slightly higher rate is generally needed yes.

I have Canik TP9 V2 and TP9SF. I've developed arthritis in my hands that make it hard to pull the slide to chamber a round. Do you have a recoil spring assembly that is easier to pull, but still works with a variety of cartridges? If not, how about just a lighter spring weight and I'll find the ammunition that works.

Sorry no, going lower on these is not possible due the striker rate being high enough to hold it out of battery. I am working on a rack assist that replaces the rear cover and will be what your looking for I believe. Should be out early next quarter or late this quarter.

Will this work with Canik Rival? I am shooting 147gr, 132 power factor ammo, do you see any problem with this?

What is your rod length? We have not had a rival in to check anything on yet.
