Guide Rod Assembly

Direct drop in RSA for your stock G19, G23, G32, and G38 Guide Rod.

Made in the US, OEM grade springs with US made stainless steel rod. The flat wound springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs. Choose your spring rate, stock is 17lb, we recommend a 20lb or 22lb for 40 S/W and 357 Sig calibers.

Fits Glock G19, G23, G32, and G38 Gen 1-3 Pistols

*** Will NOT work with Gen 4 or 5 ***

*** Our G19 Guide Rod does not fit Sigma or SD-VE. ***

Stainless Steel Guide Rods come with your choice of Stainless Retaining Screw or Black Retaining Screw.

Have a Glock 19 Gen 3, I understand a 20lb spring weight is good for +P loads, would 22lbs be even better for +P+ loads? Thanks.

Yeah the higher rate will work better with the higher pressure.

What would be the correct spring weight for a Glock 38?

The stock rate is a general all around use and works well with most ammo ranges. The Gap round is an odd round that I do not have any real experience with across a variety of loads so if your looking for better recoil control and less ejection distance I would go up a rating over stock.

Will this guide rod and spring work with a PSA dagger?

We have only tested it in the glock models listed.

I am replacing the stock recoil spring in my G19 9mm with a 20lb. There is no mention in the description of this product product pertaining to suggested product for 9mm. I want to ensure that my Glock will work properly. Which, if any, of these items would you suggest considering the change I already stated?

20lb is for higher pressure or full pressure 9mm, the 22lb is for the G23.

I have a 23 should I go with the 20 or 22lb guide rod? Thanks

I would recommend and use, the 20 in your model. The 22 will also work for most brands of ammo in the 40 cartridge but may have cycle issues with low powered practice 180 grain that is not charged to standard pressure rates.

I put the 22 lb. assembly in my Gen 3 G-23. Instant change of reduced felt recoil! Shooting 165 gr. defensive loads, 180 gr. range or 200 gr. Buffalo Bore, absolutely no problems and recovery to target was fast!

Outstanding Performance, Flawless Design, Quality Workmanship! Exceptional Customer Service.

Yes, both 20lb and 22lb GP Captured Guide Rod/Spring Assembly perfectly fit my Glock 45 (9mm) Gen 5!

However, you will definitely need to purchase an “Adapter” that installs into the “Slide” in front of the guide rod! Not on the guide rod itself!

I use an array of GP products and they are all great! Totally recommend them!
