Stainless Recoil Spring Assembly for SAR USA SAR9 Pistols
Add weight to reduce muzzle flip and decrease follow up shot time of your SAR USA SAR9 with our Assembled Stainless Steel Guide Rod. We've simplified the system with our new single flat wound spring design. Also allows use of different spring rates to tune the pistol to your needs and handloads. The flat wound springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs. These are polished and assembled with Loctite to your needs. Pick spring rate and retainer screw finish (polished stainless or blacked tool steel) and we'll assemble it as requested.
We offer fully assembled units captured like factory in 15lb, 18lb, 20lb, and 22lb.
The factory recoil spring rate is 17lb.
Available with a Stainless or Black Retainer.
Fits SAR USA SAR9, SAR9 GEN3, SAR9 METE, SAR9T, and SAR9 X Pistols. *** Fits SAR9 Pistols only, no other 9mm SAR Pistols. ***
As always, proudly made right here in the USA.

for the 9mm b6 full size what is the stock return spring in lbs and do you offer a lighter return sprig for them?
Oct 18, 2024, 08:45Sorry we do not offer B6 return spring. Only the SAR9 as listed and shown. The B6 is a CZ clone and you might reach out to one of the CZ performance parts shops for help with that info.

I bought an optic ready slide from sar usa and I am having some failure to feed problems stove pipes mostly with 115, 124, 147gr ammo, various brands. Would the 15lb spring perhaps help?
Sep 25, 2024, 07:58Bullet weight isn't the big factory pressure is. 147 is generally low pressure sub sonic which would work better with less rate. The 115 bulk tends to be just inside 9x19 standard pressure and can be weak. 124 typically is loaded to full pressure or nato pressure depending on the maker. I would stick with quality 124 gr and see if the issue continues if you hand off the pistol to another shooter to eliminate grip as an issue. If so then try a 15lb to remove spring rate to help the slide use all the energy possible the system has.

Do you make a lighter spring for the sar9 socom
Jun 11, 2024, 10:13Same pistol as the standard full size on the inside. Our full size rod assembly should be what you need.

I have an older sar9 from AL. Any difference? Also I bought an optic ready slide from sar usa and I am having some failure to feed problems, might the heavier 20lb spring help?
Nov 14, 2023, 08:45The SAR9 slides in full size or long slide are all the same. The type of cycle issue and if it is across the board with ammo not just a certain brand would be needed for best advice. If your having failure to battery a higher rate spring may make it worse, that would generally be a sign of weak ammo or poor grip. Swapping ammo and/or handing off the pistol to see if it persists will help eliminate those as issues.

Do you have an idea when the racking assist will be available for the SAR 9 Socom ?
Sep 15, 2023, 15:21We have the plate part ran heading to anodizing soon. We are working on getting run time for the lever part of the plates soon on our cnc mills as we get to a point to push other new part production into the production line with new high speed cnc mills we have in house now.

Norm ThompsonFeb 2, 2022, 19:49The stainless spring system for the SAR9 has been one of the best things I have purchased for any gun.. I had experienced several issues with both factory and reloaded ammo in the SAR9 before adding the Galloway stainless rod and spring. It is now easier to rack and I have had no stove tops, or fails to eject or feed issues in over two hundred fifty rounds.. Seems to run better and It is well made as well as a great addition to my guns. I'd recommend this part for the SAR9.

Lane GonzalezApr 25, 2021, 00:41So Ive been waiting for these to come out for a while, picked up a 20 lb stainless guide rod from shepherd tactical just a few weeks before these finally came out and I've gotta say the quality difference is substantial with $10 being the difference between the two. Galloway overall is the better option in my opinion because it's just obviously built to last compared to shepherds guide rod, has more than two options for the spring weight to accommodate the majority of sar9 enthusiasts and it's also weighted on both ends for further reduction of muzzle flip. the only minor nitpick I have is the forward end of the retainer takes a tiny bit of encouragement to fit in my Sar9x, but I'm thinking that's just due to the cerakote finish giving it the squeeze. I'd definitely recommend this to any SAR9 owner looking for a meaningful/substantial upgrade.
