Stainless Recoil Spring Assembly for SAR USA SAR9 Compact Pistols
Add weight to reduce muzzle flip and decrease follow up shot time of your SAR USA SAR9 C with our Assembled Stainless Steel Guide Rod. Also allows use of different spring rates to tune the pistol to your needs and handloads. Our Recoil Springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs. These are polished and assembled with Loctite to your needs. Pick spring rate and retainer screw finish (polished stainless or blacked tool steel) and we'll assemble it as requested.
We offer fully assembled units captured like factory in 14lb, 16lb, 18lb, and 20lb.
Available with a Stainless or Black Retainer.

Will it fit the socome?

I have a sar9 socom with a compensator I’ve been having a problem where the slide gets stuck. Would this help with the problem?

Will this fit the basic sar9 full size 4.4 inch barrel?
Aug 19, 2025, 07:21It will not. This rod is for the compact model only as listed and noted. It will not fit the standard full size slide or long slide versions. Those will use the standard rod assembly. The 4.4 inch barrel will need the full size rod assembly.

Should I get a 16lb or a 14lb if I'm shooting 115g ammo for target practice? How many pounds is the stock one on the SAR9c?
Jun 23, 2025, 08:44Stock is 16 as noted in the listing info. If the pistol is cycling the bulk 115 grain practice ammo then I would stick with the stock rate, the 14 is typically for sub sonic ammo that needs less resistance to cycle fully. Some bulk 115 is just inside sami pressure specs and can have similar sub sonic cycle issues.
