Introducing the Optic Mount Plate for 9 Shield Pistols. Made from aircraft grade aluminum and then hard anodized to mil spec for longevity and scratch resistance, this is the optic mount that you need to bring your 9 Shield to the next level. Now available in Black or Red anodized finish. This no gunsmithing required mounting plate is designed to replace your rear sight, no milling of the slide required.

Will this work for the Shield 40? I have both a 9mm and 40. They look the same but I carry the 40 more.

The plate has only been tested on the 9mm, the 40 slide will probably be thicker for extra mass to help with recoil.

I purchased the plate for my M&P shield 9mm and Ruger security 380. They work great. What front sight do you recommend so I can co witness with red dot? Suppressor (.464), .215, or .311 height?

The plates we offer are not meant to 1/3 cowitness due to the seat height of the optic on the plate sorry.

Does this adapter work with the M&P 9 Shield M2.0? Pretty sure it does, just want to confirm. Also, what optic would you suggest works best with this setup?

The shield M2.0 will work as well as the Plus version. I would keep it light, the romeo zero and CST 1550 are both good choices for that and popular with customers.

Would this work on the 45 model? or is there a 45 model optic plate available?

No the slide height is different so the plate will not work on the 45 version. Haven't had any requests for that version before. If I get enough interest I will look into it though.
