SAR USA CM9 +3 Magazine Extension

You've asked and now we're answering. Introducing our newest +3 magazine extension for the CM9 pistol. Made from carbon fiber reinforced nylon, this economical mag extension is no slouch in the engineering department, with the material being one and half times stronger than aluminum. The extension adds 3 rounds making your 17 round mag a 20 round now. Get yours today!

Includes a socket head screw on the top front for retention. Remove the retaining screw, install the extension, then replace the retaining screw and snug it up to the face of the extension body to keep the extension from sliding forward. There is no need to over-tighten the set screw. Use a 3/32nd allen wrench to make the adjustments.

Magazine not included.

I don't see that this comes with a new spring. Does it function reliably with jus the stock length spring?

It doesn't need a new spring for this extension is why we do not include one. If it was needed we would offer it with the extension.

Yes I would like to know if this extension would work on a CM9 gen1 pistol? It's also called a K2P2 pistol. I also own a cm9 gen 2 and the mags look identical to each other. The only difference is the K2P2 has a metal floor plate, compared to the cm9 gen2 that has a plastic one. So, have you guys played around with the floor plate extensions to see if they would work on my cm9 gen 1 (K2P2) pistols mags? Thank you for your time.

I have two different versions of sar cm9 magazines. They both are externally the same but one has a longer spring and a taller follower. Which one is this extension designed around?

It should work normally with either. The extension is just a pocket that creates space, the spring still stacks out like normal as you load it to capacity.

When installing this does the spring rest against this extension or do you use the factory floor plate?

Reuse your stock spring plate when you reassemble. This is so you can compress the spring up into the mag body to remove the extension, spring, follower for cleaning the mag and parts.

You can, typically the nature of the carbon fiber in the material prevents movement but it can be added if you would like.
