+9 Magazine Extension and Magazine Spring for Taurus TX22 Pistols
We promised and we delivered. Introducing the Galloway Precision +9 Magazine Extension for the TX22 pistol. Made from carbon fiber reinforced nylon, this economical mag extension is no slouch in the engineering department, with the material being one and half times stronger than aluminum. Comes with a replacement Magazine Spring to insure proper feed of the additional rounds. Our new Magazine Spring is made for us by ISMI to our exacting standards. Our magazine extension will add nine rounds, making it a 25 round magazine now. Get yours today!
Includes a cap head screw and cap on the top front for retention. Remove the cap head screw and cap. Slide the extension body on to the magazine body, then replace the cap head screw and cap on the top front. This will block the magazine body from sliding forward on the extension. Next install the new Mag Spring and then the extension base (locking plate) and tighten down the 3 cap head allen screws. There is no need to over-tighten the allen screws, just snug them up with a 3/32 allen wrench. *** Loading assist tab must be removed to allow additional rounds. ***

We go over the installation of the Galloway Precision +9 Mag Extension for the Taurus TX22 Pistol. Load assist tab going through the follower will need to be removed from the follower to allow for the additional rounds.

Can I run this 16 plus 9 mag in my tx22 compact. I know it want be flush but will it fire ?
Mar 13, 2024, 10:13Yes the extension just needs a 16 round mag to attach to, the compact or standard frame will work.

When are you going to supply a large extension for the Tx-22 Compact? You're losing out.
Oct 6, 2023, 10:01For the flush mag you mean? We just haven't had any interest in one for the short mag since the standard mag fits in the pistol which can use our +9. If I get more interest I'll look into getting the spring made to allow it to work with the shorter mag.

I was wondering if your TX 22 accessories will work with the new TX22 SCR model of gun. I believe there is no difference in the OEM 16 round mags from model to model. My main concern is will the captured stainless steel guide rod you sell fit the SCR model. I installed on on my Basic TX22 and it works just great. Thanks.
Dec 19, 2022, 10:43The frame is the same between the two models so the extensions work fine. We have a new guiderod for the comp version coming out shortly as well as aluminum plates for mounting optics to the comp version.

I’ve fired several full mags so far without one failure to feed where as the stock 16 round configuration would fail to feed every so often. Very impressed with the quality and fit. I promptly ordered multiple mag extensions from Galloway and I am very impressed! they work flawlessly, gives you a nice big surface to grip for quick reloads, they just work awesome!

Dean WAug 26, 2022, 07:46Bought two. Followed the video somewhat. They forgot to mention you need to remove the pin going thru the follower. That pin is a stopper for when it get to the bottom of the factory mag. Remove it by sliding the follower all the way to the bottom of the mag and push the stop pin thru the circling opening. Looking forward to using them for steel challenge competition. FYI: If you use the Tandemkross carry bag the mag will become to long to fit in the mag pouches. I use the storage pouch on the other side.

MitchJun 27, 2022, 13:03Great product love the idea of a 25 round magazine. The instructions were great and easy to follow. Compressing the new spring was a challenge but I used a dentists 90 degree probe from harbor freight to get down in the magazine body and it worked very well.
