We present to you the Optic Mount Plate for the American pistol. Made from aircraft grade aluminum and then hard anodized to mil spec for longevity and scratch resistance, this is the optic mount that you need to bring your American to the next level. This no gunsmithing required mounting plate is designed to replace your rear sight, no milling of the slide required.

Do NOT use the metric screws that came with your optic, we provide both Button Head Cap screws and Flat Head Cap screws in the correct thread size for our Optic Mount Plate to mount your optic to our plate. Screw head type selection is determined by the type needed for your particular optic. ***

Will the plate fit the osprey global MRS compact?

Can you make a mounting plate with rear sights built in like the dove dot from mounting solutions
Nov 1, 2023, 13:23We offered them years ago that way but folks wanted the simple plate we offer now. The new flat plate it is cheaper for us to make in house and offer at a lower cost as a result. It also as lighter with less mass to affect cycling.

Will this fit a holosun 507C?
Feb 3, 2023, 12:10No the plate does not support any of the wide pattern RMR optics. We list the narrow and micro patterns that it supports in the listing. If you want a bigger window the cst1250 has been a popular choice by customers with good feedback. The 507k from halo sun also fits the plate and is another popular option.

1eyedjackSep 24, 2023, 17:37Tried another companies optic mount that just wouldn't work-had a hole that could hold the front of the mount down but drill & tap the slide so much for no machining!
Now the one piece mount Galloway is a true no machining optic mount! Fit was very tight in the dove tail and locking screw insures its staying in place. Sight pusher would have made the installation easier and prevented the marring of the mount but padded vise , punch and hammer got me on range !
