Flat Wound Recoil Spring Conversion

Increased rate over stock for better recoil pulse control prevent frame battering and longer service life than round wire dual rate springs. Smooth resistance through slide cycle. These flat wound springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys, these springs are made to last and provide a more enjoyable shooting experience.

The single flat wound spring is considerably longer than the dual spring setup as the flat wound spring requires the extra length to equal the same spring rate as our 22lb dual springs, but no need to worry about proper fitment as the flat wound spring stacks up in the same space as the dual spring setup.

Fits Sig Sauer® P290RS Pistols. Will NOT work in .380 models.

I am a little concerned with increasing the spring rate and maintaining reliability. Do you offer one of these with the same spring rate as stock or can I trim a few coils off of this one to replicate the stock spring rate?

We only offer the increased rate spring, trimming springs is not recommended. The increased rate is meant for full pressure and defensive ammo. Bulk practice ammo that is loaded to the lowest end of pressure window or subsonic rounds may have issues. Those tend to stock as well.

How does this spring improve performance over the dual spring set-up?

It offers longer life over the stock style.
