Flat Wound Recoil Spring for M&P 9 and 40 M2.0 Compact 4" Pistols

Allow the use of different spring rates to tune the pistol to your needs and handloads. The flat wound springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs.

We offer 15lb, 17lb, 20lb, and 22lb spring rates.

The 9 and 40 pistols both ship with 17lb, the 15lb spring is for light hand loads only.

Fits Smith and Wesson M&P 9 and 40 M2.0 Compact 4" Pistols.

As always, proudly made right here in the USA.US Flag

Can you explain the "rip rack" you mentioned on previous answer?

Place the support hand fingers on one side the palm opposite, grip tightly and rip back on the slide while driving the shooting hand forward. This will give the most grip and force you can apply to the small surface area to help with racking.

Will 15 lb spring reduce the effort required to manually operate the slide? Older(76) man here. Not like I used to be!! S&W M2.0 9mm compact

Sorry no. That isn't going to be a notable difference really that your hoping for and is not a recommended use for the lower rate. The reduced rate is for lower pressure sub sonic ammo, it offers lower resistance so the lower pressure ammo will fully cycle, use with standard pressure or high pressure can damage the pistol's locking block with use. I can recommend working with a rip rack to help cycling the slide over the slide pinch racking style.

I need a heavier recoil spring for my S&W M&P 9 M2.0 3.6" SubCompact (S&W M&P model #12482), for my standard carry and training loads of Underwood Ammo 124 Gr +P and 147 Gr +P ammo.
    Can you help me?
    Thank you.

Sorry not one we offer a spring assembly for. Just haven't had any interest in the line. We have had folks reaching out so it has gone on the project board but we do not have a production date for them yet.
