Heavy Recoil Spring Kit for Bodyguard 380 and M&P 380 Pistols
Heavy Recoil Spring Kit
With high pressure ammo comes higher recoil and a increase in recoil spring rate can help reduce this and tame the little beast. These are a 15% increase over stock and work with most stock pressure and high pressure ammo, helping to reduce muzzle flip and speed you up getting back on target. Not recommended for reduced recoil ammo or light handloads. Our recoil springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars. Our recoil springs are made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, not inferior music wire, which are made to last and provide a more enjoyable shooting experience.
We have purposely made one end of the inner spring a smaller diameter for retention. Please install the smaller diameter end of the inner spring on the guide rod first and slide it fully on the guide rod up against the head of the guide rod. The large diameter end will slide freely on the guide rod.
Fits Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 380 and M&P 380 Pistols
As always, proudly made right here in the USA.

Will this work on the Bodyguard 2.0 .380?
Dec 3, 2024, 16:08No it is only for the standard Body guard. The 2.0 shares no parts with the older hammer fired version. We have guide rods coming shortly for them, we have the springs done, waiting on rods to run on our cnc lathes.

Will this allow me to shoot +p outta my bodyguard 380, Specifically underwood ammo and buffalo bore?
Mar 26, 2024, 07:54The recoil spring is for recoil control and returning the slide to battery, it doesn't change the chamber pressure limits from the factory limits. Ammo pressure loads should be within the limits stated in your manual to prevent chamber damage or failure.

looking at the short trigger kit and heavy recoil spring for my bodyguard 380. what advantage will the guiderod add to this setup if any? and is it needed or recommended of there's no problem with the stock guiderod now?
May 17, 2023, 08:13The heavier spring rate helps a little with recoil control and returning to battery with certain bullet shapes that can struggle to load.
