Rack Assist Back Plate for Ruger LC9s and EC9s Pistols
Ruger LC9s and EC9s Rack Assist
We here at Galloway Precision are making strides in helping our physically challenge customers and EDC community be able to operate their semi automatic self defense firearms in an easier and more user friendly way. Our Rack Assist provides a positive finger stop at the rear of your pistol to assist those who have difficulty in gripping the slide to rack it. Utilizing our 3D printing capabilities we have created a product many have been asking for, introducing our Rack Assist for LC9s and EC9s series of pistols. Made from fiberglass reinforced carbon fiber filled ballistic nylon, with the reinforcement in the areas that will take the most stress on the pull of the Rack Assist. Not only is it reinforced, but the material is much easier on the skin of the fingers than traditional steel or aluminum rack plates. We strive to push the limits of technology to make your shooting experience more comfortable and enjoyable. So become one with your gun, and get yours today!
Fits Ruger LC9s and EC9s Pistols only.
As always, proudly made right here in the USA.
Installation instructions: Looking from underneath the slide press down on the blocker and that will reveal a pin hole in the black striker sleeve. Insert a pick in that hole and pull toward the front of the slide to compress the striker sleeve and release the back plate. Slide the back plate out. While the striker sleeve is compressed, slide the Rack Assist in place. Once fully seated release the striker sleeve and the new Rack Assist will be secured in place.

is there a video showing the installation of the rack assist on a ec9s ?
Apr 3, 2024, 07:28Pretty straight forward to install, just remove the slide, look toward the rear of the striker near the rear cover and there is a small hole, insert a punch or pick into the hole you will see in the striker sleeve and compress the striker sleeve toward the muzzle end. Slide the cover off. Compress the sleeve down and install the new rack assist.

What is the trick to correctly installing the rack assisting part? Having a hard time installing the new part.
Apr 21, 2022, 09:23Not really a trick, remove the slide from the frame and just compress the striker sleeve and slide it in place like you would the stock plate. Make sure the blocker is tripped in the slide so the striker can go fully forward after you remove the slide to make it go forward fully.

DuaneJan 24, 2024, 22:37Just received and installed on my wife's EC9s. The installation was made easy by watching the YouTube video on how to break-down the gun. Everything went together the first time. All dry fire operations were successful.
My wife was struggling to rack the slide. She also got pinched badly. Now she can rack the slide and keep her fingers away from the pinch points. Nicely done Galloway. -
