Reduced Power Hammer Spring for Ruger® LCP®
Reduced Power Hammer Spring
This spring will pull about 1.5 pounds out of your LCP® trigger pull weight and provide full ignition on standard primers. Requires detail strip of the pistol to change hammer spring.
Our spring kits are made to last from actual High Quality Chrome Silicon and not inferior Music Wire like other kits on the market. Made to our specs from ISMI, a leader in spring manufacturing for Formula One as well as the firearm industry.
*Not for use with hard primer bulk ammo, quality ammo must be used, check the faq page for more info* **We do not suggest this for the new no dash SN LCP® pistols due to the lighter hammer hit they provide due to altered hammer design**
Fits Ruger® LCP® Pistols.
As always, proudly made right here in the USA.

I own an LCP and from what I see, it does not have a “dash” in the serial number. I believe that makes it a Gen 2 model. Since the reduced weight spring description states “not recommended for no dash series numbers”, what part or spring etc can be used to reduce the trigger pull weight?
Sep 30, 2022, 08:40Going lower on the hammer rate to reduce the pull on the no dash model will induce misfires with hard primer bulk ammo and is not recommended. It should run fine with quality ammo but lower grade bulk with hard primers will struggle. Using a lighter trigger return spring will not make a notable difference other than introducing reset problems.

Does this work, or do you have a version that works with the LCP Max?
Jun 30, 2022, 09:33Lowering the hammer spring rate on a SA pistol like the LCP max or LCP2 will have very little difference on the pull weight, we do not offer one as a result. I suggest our trigger as it improves the leverage over the pull has better staging and limits pre travel. That gives a noticeable change in the trigger pull without reducing impact force for a minor difference. To really reduce the pull weight you would need to alter the sear to hammer engagement relationship which with the manufacturing processes used to produce them would not be easy to make a drop in kit that improved all models.

Does this fit the LCP2 as well?
Nov 12, 2021, 08:31No it is not listed for that model as it will not fit. Altering the hammer spring on a SA pistol, like the LCP 2, has very little affect on trigger pull weight. It tends to just create ignition issues in most pistols. Same with replacing the trigger return spring, it has very little affect on pull weight but creates reset issues. As result I do not offer such springs for some models if they do not create a notable performance gain, or rather induce a cycle problem.

I own an original LCP. It has the guide rod i got from you. I
bought the lastest trigger you offer. Do you recommend this
spring as well? How much less recoil can i expect with this spring?
And finally what do you consider low quality ammo? Thanks again.Apr 12, 2021, 08:44The spring will help reduce felt recoil and muzzle flip. The spring is higher rate to do this. You can't get rid of recoil or the pistol will not cycle. Our FAQ page has ammo suggestions based on our experience with the pocket pistols over the last 13 years.
