Just need the springs? We got you covered.

Recoil spring sets for the SRc available in 14lb, 16lb, 18lb, and 20lb. These springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs.

The compacts come stock with 16lb, we recommend the 14lb only for light handloads only.

I have a SR9c Ruger that has a very heavy recoil spring that I can hardly pull back. Would you recommend changing the spring to a 14lb?

No, the 14 is for lower pressure ammo, like sub sonic loads. Going lower with standard or high pressure ammo is not recommended. I recommend working with a rip rack and cave mag grip over altering the spring rate.

My wife has an sr9c and can hardly pull the slide back. Any suggestions?

I would recommend working with her on a cave man grip and rip racking the slide, not going lower on spring rate. This gives the best purchase on the slide and force applied to rack to rack the slide. I am introducing a line of replacement rear slide covers for several pistols, it is one that I may offer also to help folks out with this issue with these.

As a follow up to my previous question: can I get too heavy of a coil for more standard 9mm ammo for the firearm to function or will it unnecessarily make it more difficult to rack the slide with non-+P rated ammo?

Yes, if you go too high of a rate standard pressure ammunition will have a hard time cycling the slide.

What (lb) spring set do you recommend for an SR9C USING 147 GRAIN +P+ I was considering the 20 lb spring set.

    Definitely the 20lb rate.
