Stainless Steel Striker Indicator

This is the shaft that visually shows the pistol is cocked. Easier to see and replaces the inferior factory plastic part with a polished stainless steel part. As a bonus this will help smooth the trigger by getting rid of plastic on plastic.

Striker Indicator is Polished on the end for increased visiblity.

Fits Ruger® SR9®, SR9e®, SR9c®, SR40®, SR40c®, and SR45® Pistols.

How difficult is the install, ok for a novice?

You can watch our trigger kit install video for these and it will walk you through all the parts including the striker removal and disassembly of the striker then reassembly with the new guide. It isn't very difficult just need a few basic tools, 1/16 punch, small hammer, a armor blocker or wood with small hole to drive the pin into and you should be good to go.

Would the extra weight of the stainless steel striker indicator used with the stock striker spring cause any reliability issues compared to the stock plastic indicator with stock striker spring? I've never had any light primer strike issues in the stock configuration, is the slight extra weight of the stainless steel part negligible in this sense? my main concern is reliability but I do like the extra visibility of the stainless indicator.

No that isn't a possible issue, nor has it ever been in the last 12 years of offering the product. It works well and does what we offer it for.

I ordered this indicator rod by itself. Will it function well with the original spring, or is it recommend that we get the aftermarket spring from Galloway Precision as well?
