This kit includes a balanced spring reduction kit to safely and correctly pull your trigger pull down to a comfortable useable 4.5-5.5 pound range with reliable ignition of standard primers. The kit includes the MUCH NEEDED updated sear spring for the Smith & Wesson SD VE model, by reducing the sear spring we balance the pull out correctly across the trigger/ignition system. Our spring kits are made to last from actual High Quality Chrome Silicon and not inferior Music Wire like other kits on the market. Made to our specs from ISMI, a leader in spring manufacturing for Formula One as well as the firearm industry.

It should, the only differences in the 2.0 seem to be cosmetic other than the trigger shape change.

No the spring kit is only for the SD pistol it is listed for. The SW9 uses the SW9/sigma spring kit we offer.

'IF you reduce the striker spring you will need to use quality ammo with soft primers. If you try to use cheap bulk practice ammo just like stock you will have random misfires due to the low grade of ammo.' How can I tell if ammo has a soft primer?

I've got the Boudica trigger and like it, but less trigger pull would be nice.

We have ammo info on our faq page to help with selection. Eastern block supplied bulk practice ammo and tula are well known for issues with ignition. WWB can be an issue as well.

No the kit is for the SD model only. The sigmas use different internals.

This reduced power spring kit is great! Great quality, great customer service, great pricing, and fast shipping from Galloway Precision. This kit made a HUGE difference in how my SD9VE performs now. Pretty simple to do, thanks to the informative instruction video. I paired this up with the Boudica short stroke trigger and I'm very satisfied with the results. Also purchased the wide body slide takedown plate. There's a video review that I made showing the final results on the drastic improvement that you guys can check out. Thank you very much Galloway Precision. I'm getting more products for my Canik TP9 Elite SC and TP9 SFX too!

I bought the spring kit and the short stroke trigger together. The spring kit reduced trigger pull from 7.25 lb to 5 lb. The short stroke trigger works so much better than the stock trigger. The spring kit and the short stroke trigger together made a huge difference in my SD9VE. Great products and great how to videos. Thanks
