TX22 Full Size Assembled Stainless Steel Guide Rod
Our Taurus TX22 guide rods are made of Stainless Steel and come pre-assembled to your spring rate selection. The recoil springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys, these springs are made to last and provide a more enjoyable shooting experience.
Our recoil springs are made to last of actual chrome silica spring wire and not music wire like other manufacturers.
We offer fully assembled units captured like factory in factory spring rate or 10% reduced. The 10% reduced spring rate helps cycle better for lower pressure loads.
Comes with your choice of Polished Stainless or Black Cerakote Retainer.

Nov 27, 2023, 10:33That completely depends on the ammo uses and grip on the pistol. Try it first is my suggestion using high pressure ammo.

Will the -10% spring have any issues with normal or high velocity loads? Or does it strictly just make it perform better with subsonic loads?
Oct 3, 2023, 15:54It is meant for the sub sonic loads yes. I would switch to the stock rate for stand speed and our high rate for our high velocity loads.

Dr MarkOct 4, 2023, 14:22I purchased the stainless steel recoil spring at minus 10%. This cleared up all of my jamming and failure to feed problems. It improved the performance of the TX22 drastically. Note: This is a brand new spring so there may be a short break-in period. Most importantly you will notice a drastic difference right away. I think that Galloway makes (the best) recoil spring out of all of the suppliers. It is nearly identical to the plastic recoil spring that comes with the TX22 it is just much better made. If you need or want a spring (buy this one). I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Freestone ArmoryNov 30, 2022, 00:35Great upgrade, seems like Taurus should outsource their TX22 recoil assembly production to GP. Even though it is for a 22LR, the stainless steel recoil assembly makes me feel more confident in the pistols function.

MitchJun 25, 2022, 17:17this product is just great. The oem product worked well but this one is easier to keep clean and is very slick. I've found it works with everything from hyper velocity rounds like Stingers to sub sonic rounds like CC1 Sub Sonic HP's. Keep up the great work Galloway
