Those of you loading your light loads have asked for a reduced power recoil spring set and we are providing it as well as a increased rate for those seeking a little more recoil control with hotter 165, 185 and 200 grain loads. The springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more pleasurable shooting experience verses inferior Music Spring Wire springs.
We offer direct drop in units for 45's, completely assembled with your choice of blacked retainer or polished stainless retainer. Will fit 9mm and 40 S&W also.
***Be aware we have found some slides on the 4 inch barrel versions need the retaining screw turned out 1 turn. This is easy to do and varies depending on slide machining of the pistol from the factory***

Hi. I bought a 25%increased guide rod. My understanding is that this will have a 25 percent increase in recoil reduction. Am I correct or do I have it backwards and bought the wrong one?
Mar 1, 2024, 09:41It is 25% increase in spring rate over stock rate. It will not reduce recoil by 25% no.

I'm looking to keep the spring rate as close to stock as possible, but want the stainless replacements. What option should I choose?
Dec 14, 2023, 18:26Both are 25% one way or the other of the stock rate. Sorry we do not offer a stock rate spring set for these. If you want as close as we offer stock you can note in the note section of the order please install a 16lb instead of one of the 25% rates.
