Reduced Power Striker Spring for GX4 Pistols

Introducing the Galloway Precision GX4 25% Reduced Striker Spring. We've worked with ISMI springs to offer an improved spring set for your GX4 Pistol. A lighter smoother action will be achieved with this new spring kit made from High Quality Chrome Silicon Spring Wire here in the USA by ISMI spring, not inferior Music Wire Springs. Expect long life and a better trigger pull with this simple spring kit for your GX4.

The 25% reduced power is a good reduction for a lighter pull and reliable ignition of standard or higher quality primers.

Fits Taurus GX4 Pistols.

As always, proudly made right here in the USA.US Flag

Do you have an install video for the GX4 reduced recoil spring?

The reduced striker spring in the listing is pretty straight forward. Compress the striker sleeve forward and slide the striker cover off. Remove the striker, compress the spring back on the sleeve and remove the two front spring cups. Remove the spring, install the new spring and reverse the parts install. It is the same process as any glock pistol most are familiar with.

will this spring make the striker contact lighter causing light strikes

Light striking means a pistol will not fire any type or brand of ammo. A misfire is random and ammo related. The spring is a reduced rate, extremely hard cheaper grade bulk ammo may have issues much like they create in stock form also. We have info on ammo to help avoid the problematic hard primer bulk ammo brands on our faq page for easy reference.

Just got my reduced power spring in the mail and was excited to slap it in my GX4 toro - was using a bodge from a tutorial with a 5 lb Glock spring with a 15.5 coil (hand cut) which gave some light primer strikes during testing. Totally could have been user error in the cut, but from there, went back to stock everything as dependability is what matters most in an everyday situation.

Having something tailored specific *especially* after market parts for a particular firearm is huge and leaves the user error for the most part out of the equation when doing rudimentary/amateur gunsmithing.

With the inclusion of the striker sleeve replacement paired with this spring, the take up is noticeably shorter and the break of the trigger is lighter than the stock trigger pull by leaps and bounds. Polishing is wonderful but paired along with this spring and striker sleeve is night and day. I do not have a gauge to test the poundage, but this feels 3.5 lbs easily and if I had to hazard a guess, I imagine a 5-6.5 lb pull stock if not more so. A polish job can go so far so having the performance bits to help solidify your defensive platform will always be welcomed by those who love to tinker.

I will be testing this setup shortly and am always excited for any new support for the GX4 or Taurus products for that matter.

    God Bless!
