GX2 Assembled Stainless Steel Guide Rod

Our Taurus GX2 guide rods are made of Stainless Steel and come pre-assembled to your spring rate selection. Our flat wound recoil springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Our recoil springs are made to last of actual chrome silica spring wire and not music wire like some other manufacturers. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar racing, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys, these springs are made to last and provide a more enjoyable shooting experience.

We offer fully assembled units, captured like factory in 15 lb, 18 lb, 20 lb, and 22 lb recoils spring rates.

Comes with a Blacked Stainless Retaining Screw.

Fits Taurus GX2 Pistols only.

As always, made here in the USA and free shipping!

Do you have a captured recoil system for a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield with a 3” barrel?

Sorry we do not offer a rod assembly for the shield model.

The answer to the question on what the different spring lbs mean is appreciated. The answer mentions OEM as being the stock spring weight, but there is no option listed as OEM. Which weight is OEM, please? Thank you.

Sorry about that, the listing should have that and I will get that added. 18lbs is the oem rate.

Can you give a brief description on what the different spring lbs mean?

lower than stock is going to be for help cycling low pressure sub sonic ammo. OEM is the stock rate and general range of ammo pressures. The higher rates are for better recoil control and muzzle snap over stock with full pressure and high pressure ammo.
