Introducing the Optic Mount Plate for GX4, G3c, and small dovetail G3 pistols. Made from aircraft grade aluminum and then hard anodized to mil spec for longevity and scratch resistance, this is the optic mount that you need to bring your Taurus to the next level. Now available in Black or Red anodized finish. This no gunsmithing required mounting plate is designed to replace your rear sight, no milling of the slide required.

*** For the installation of your optic, Blue Locktite is required. The optic plate will use the Standard screws provided in the package to secure your optic to the new mount plate. The 8/32 x 3/16 set screw is for the center hole to secure the mount plate to your slide. ***

We strive to make all parts we manufacture to be drop in, although there is the rare occasion where a part will HAVE to be fitted to the tolerances of your particular pistol. We cannot control the tolerances of mass produced firearms, therefore we highly suggest that if you run into a tolerance issue to contact us at tech@gallowayprecision.com before taking it to a qualified armorer to fit the part. We also offer installation of all triggers, trigger kits, and parts that we make for a nominal fee.

Do you or any other vendors offer a dovetail sight plate for a Taurus GX4 that sits flush with the back of the slide?
Mar 24, 2025, 09:34Ours is the only one out there I think. It sits slightly rear to prevent deflection of the plate due to extreme offset on the dovetail.

Ive seen similar products that have the base 1913 pic mount but have had issues like bending after 10-30 rounds due to the location of the sight mount and the material used for manufacturing. Have you had any of the same problems?
What steps in manufacturing do you take to avoid this?Feb 6, 2025, 09:22We would not have offered mounts for 7 years now if they had issues in the mounting or longevity. We actually design all our products in house and make everything in house on our own equipment except for springs. The material was selected based on our needs for the mount and the forces it sees. We do not offer the plate for certain models due to lack of mounting foot rigidity as well as we do not offer plates that support certain pattern optics that tend to be far to heavy for plate mounting.

Is there a downside to mounting a holosun407k and not using the front nub things?
Jan 28, 2025, 16:34Nothing that affects use once installed. Our plate is not designed for the location studs on the micro RMSC pattern optics like the 507k uses. They are only location studs for holding zero for battery changes, our plates include them for the longer doctor/venom pattern optics the plates support that we include location studs for. The location studs ARE NOT recoil studs, if they see any force the screw are loose.
