I can't quite see it, but does this cover the backstrap? I got an aftermarket one and I like the texture on it.

It does not cover the rear back strap no. The overlays cover both sides and the front strap under the trigger guard.

Once installed will this hold up to cerakote?

No, these are 3m backed texture overlays. They are meant to be put over the finish on the pistol. You would want to coat the weapon first then install them.
