M&P 9 Shield EZ +2 Magazine Extension
You've asked and now we're answering. Introducing our +2 magazine extension for 9 Shield EZ pistols. Includes our new replacement Chrome Silicon Alloy Magazine Spring. The extension is made from carbon fiber reinforced nylon, this economical mag extension is no slouch in the engineering department, with the material being one and half times stronger than aluminum. Not only does the extension add two rounds to your 9mm Shield magazine, it also makes a nice space for your pinky to rest for a better grip. Get yours today!
Includes a cap head screw at the front bottom of the extension and a cap at the top for retention. Remove the cap head screw and the cap. Remove the factory base pad, spring floor plate, thumb loader/slide lock lever, and factory magazine spring, We will be reusing the factory follower and mag tube. In the correct orientation with the factory follower, slide the new magazine spring with the new spring floor plate inserted in the bottom of the spring up into the mag tube and hold compressed in the tube with your thumb. Slide the magazine extension on the mag tube, once fully seated, insert the top retaining cap from the front and tighten the cap head screw from the bottom until the top retainer is secured. Use a 3/32nd allen wrench to make the adjustments.
*** Our extension deletes the thumb drive lever and will disable the slide lock lever on last shot. To fit the extra rounds the follower needs to travel more than stock travel, so the thumb loader/slide lock lever has to be removed to allow this.
