Is 90 grain 380acp considered lower pressure, so I should go with the -10%
Aug 13, 2025, 08:12higher bullet weights will be lower pressure normally as they have less room for powder with the longer bullet for the added mass. The FPS will be lower as well due to the lower pressure.

Can I still use the -10% for normal ammo all the time?
Does it make it easier to rack the slide?Aug 13, 2025, 08:11It is for weaker ammo with lower pressure than normal range. It isn't for standard or high pressure nor intended to make it easier to rack. The effort is slightly lower but not going to be dramatic if your having issues racking it now. We have plans to offer a rack assist soon for it.

Will this fit in the Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp?
Jul 28, 2025, 11:28We haven't had one in yet but we have had several customers say the regular rod swaps into it and ours works as well.

Can you explain the difference between OEM and the -10% , how would that effect the performance?
Jul 18, 2025, 06:00OEM is the stock rate and for general use. The minus is to help cycle weak ammo that doesn't have a lot of pressure to cycle.

Anthony PotteigerAug 6, 2025, 23:09This guide rod assembly is much nicer than the plastic one. The oem spring here is heavier like everyone says. The -10% is probably closer to the stock spring. This goes great with the trigger and makes the bg2.0 better than ever!

Paul MartinAug 4, 2025, 16:43Brand new gun. Slide would not go back quite far enough to engage the slide stop or allow me to turn the takedown lever . Finally had to push back extremely hard on slide so I could remove it. It was like the OEM recoil spring was too long when compressed. Didn't want to wait for S&W to replace it. Bought this one, got it in a few days, popped it in & now the gun works like it is supposed to. Perfect!

Hans BogaarsJul 12, 2025, 19:29Fantastic upgrade to the bodyguard 2.0. I wasn’t sure if it was going to make a big difference but it has. I shot the gun today for the first time with it and it definitely is a noticeable improvement. Buy one.

Stephen McGuireJun 20, 2025, 07:20Installation is easy, bought the black oem model. Took it to the range, seems smoother than the factory spring assembly when racking the slide. Ran over 100 rounds with no issues, happy with the purchase.
