Performance Striker Springs for TX22 Pistols
Introducing Galloway Precision TX22 Striker Springs. We are offering these striker springs in OEM spring rate and 20% Increased rate for better ignition with lower grade bulk ammo. Both springs are made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire not inferior music wire that will not last and rust as well. ISMI makes the springs for us right here in the USA. Choose from a 25% Decreased Rate for a lighter trigger pull, stock OEM rate, or a 20% Increased Rate spring for more impact on the case to increase ignition force with troublesome bulk ammo. *** 25% Decreased Rate Striker Spring should be used with quality soft primer ammo only. ***
Fits Taurus TX22 Series Pistols.
As always, proudly made right here in the USA.

What tools and instruction do I need to install this part?
Sep 13, 2024, 07:41A small punch or pick to compress the striker guide, then just slide the rear cover off and swap the spring and reinstall the striker guide, compress it forward and slide the cover back on.

Will an increased rate increase wear on other parts? I'm concerned that making one part better will negatively affect parts that aren't as sturdy, as there's a lot of plastic and less study parts on the TX22 so they could meet the price point.
Sep 11, 2024, 07:46Never been a problem before. The striker spring rides in a steel striker and tensions on the striker guide, not really anything to wear excessively with a small increase in rate. If your concern is wear a good maintenance program is the solution. PM annually for all moving parts in the fire control like we do for LE customers.

Being more specific, will the 20% increased spring lighten or increase trigger pull?
Jul 15, 2024, 08:05It will have a mild increase on the pull rate, the decreased will have a mild decrease in the rate. These striker fired pistols that are single action will have mild changes in pull from spring rate changes.

Does this affect standard velocity ammunitions ability to cycle back the slide? Also will this and the stainless guide rod fit the Gen 2?
Jul 8, 2024, 08:02It will lighten pull, it will not affect cycling. The rods we offer will not fit the Gen 2 frames, we have a rod assembly coming out soon for the Gen 2 pistols.
