You've asked and now we're answering. Introducing the Galloway Precision +3 Magazine Extension for the TX22 pistol. Made from carbon fiber reinforced nylon, this economical mag extension is no slouch in the engineering department, with the material being one and half times stronger than aluminum. Our magazine extension adds three rounds making it a 19 round magazine now. Get yours today!
Includes a cap head screw and cap on the top front for retention. Remove factory base plate and Load Assist Tab from the mag tube. Remove the retaining screw and cap from your new extension, slide the mag tube on to the extension while holding the spring pad and mag spring inside the mag tube, then reinstall the cap and snug it up using the cap head screw to the top of the extension body to keep the extension from sliding forward. There is no need to over-tighten the set screw. Use a 3/32nd allen wrench to make the adjustments.

I purchased 4 of your +3 extensions for the Taurus tx22 compact. The original mags hold 13 and with that said I installed the 4 extensions with ease and when I first used them and shot about 100 rounds with no issues, but no I’m finding failure to feed and occasionally Stove Pipe rounds. My feeling is that the magazine spring for TX22 compact is not strong enough I’m curious if anyone else has had this issue and if so do you have 16 round magazine springs that I can purchase and install. I know your product is of good quality but I feel it’s the Taurus TX 22 compact spring that is the issue.
By the way I gave your product an outstanding review, Thanks Joe LaMondaApr 7, 2023, 07:44We haven't had any issues like that, the spring rate checked out for the added space when we sent the spring to ISMI for inspection so I am going to say give the slide assembly a good cleaning and try it again. If I get others having that issue I will for sure start shipping them with a longer spring.
I haven't tried them with a 16 round spring but I will give it a go to see if the assembly will still hold the extra rounds, if so I can slip some of our +9 to that size and send them if you would like to give it a go if the cleaning doesn't help. -

Will this work on the tx22 compact?
Jan 13, 2023, 10:26We have not got a sample in to test with. The full size mag would still be supported in them but the spring in our +9 would be far to long for the shorter mag. We will update the info soon and get listings up for the compact version.

MitchJun 27, 2022, 12:08Got two of these along with my +9 bumper as well. Again the dentists 90degree probe made quick work out of installation and it was just great. I love the fact that these drop free when done. these along with the captured recoil spring really do make my Taurus sing.

J-MasMay 14, 2020, 15:35This just came in the other day, and while I normally don't write reviews on most things I buy, I felt compelled to add to what others have said about the quality of this piece. I even showed it to a non gun-guy (not anti-gun) who remarked at the precision of the machining or 3D-printing work (not sure which it is). Fitment is laser-precise, and it interfaces so well with my TX22 that there isn't a whisper of play in between the mag and gun. Reliability? Well, I was skeptical of the factory spring working well with the added length of this piece, but there were no issues. The TX22 factory mag spring is quite strong, more than many other .22 magazines, so I think that helped. And, as another reviewer has stated, I did indeed get 20 rounds to fit and feed just fine. I wouldn't normally keep it filled with 20 though, just in case it did weaken the spring over time. I ran two fully-packed mags through the pistol with various types of ammo interspersed, even loading a round in the chamber and topping off the mag, to see if it would malfunction - all good! This would be an excellent addition for a competition shooter (think a cheaper, lighter, but very high quality version of Taran Tactical's extensions for centerfire guns). The TX22 is already an amazing .22 pistol, and this makes it downright mean! One thing that I did differently than the install video is I placed the little floorplate catch in the bottom of the mag extension where it will live, and then used a larger Allen wrench to hold the magazine spring up inside the body of the mag while I slid the extension home. That way you don't pinch the spring (did that once before!) and it settles in perfectly in its channel when you release it. Lastly, I had no issues with the slide not locking back with this extension, unlike the Wingman extensions for the Ruger SR22. However, you WILL lose your assist-button functionality on the TX22 mag, as it has to be removed in order to get full capacity from this extension.
