Stainless Recoil Spring Assembly for SAR USA SAR9 Compact Pistols
Add weight to reduce muzzle flip and decrease follow up shot time of your SAR USA SAR9 C with our Assembled Stainless Steel Guide Rod. Also allows use of different spring rates to tune the pistol to your needs and handloads. Our Recoil Springs are made for us by ISMI, a leader in the spring market here in the U.S.A, to our specifications. Made on the same machines that make springs for Formula 1 and IndyCar race cars, made exclusively with aerospace specification alloys. Made from Chrome Silicon Spring Wire, the only choice for a longer lasting, more enjoyable shooting experience verses inferior Music Wire springs. These are polished and assembled with Loctite to your needs. Pick spring rate and retainer screw finish (polished stainless or blacked tool steel) and we'll assemble it as requested.
We offer fully assembled units captured like factory in 14lb, 16lb, 18lb, and 20lb.
Available with a Stainless or Black Retainer.
Fits SAR USA SAR9 Compact, SAR9 Compact GEN3, and SAR9 CX Pistols. *** Fits SAR9 Compact Pistols only, no other 9mm SAR Pistols including the SAR 9 Subcompact. ***
As always, proudly made right here in the USA.

Have brand new SAR9X. Very stiff to rack slide. Also, shells don't fly away from gun, just kind of plop out maybe a foot away. Will less tension recoil spring help these issues? If so, what weight should I go to? Thanks!!
Mar 17, 2025, 09:18Lower rate 15lb we offer is for sub sonic loads. The pistol is sprung for full pressure or high pressure ammo. Bulk 115 practice ammo is going to be lower pressure and can have cycle issues with these pistols. I would suggest going with full pressure or high pressure ammo. The 15lb we offer will help but do not run it with higher pressure ammo like nato spec or defensive ammo.

Will a lower spring rate make my SAR 9c easer to rack?
Jan 13, 2025, 09:34To a small degree but is not a good option for that. We offer a rack assist for the need. Going lower on the recoil spring is for lower pressure ammo to cycle better.

Will they make more Sar9 compact guide rod assembly in 14 lb. My ome isn't working well. My slide isn't staying open when the last round is fired and the ammo is jamming and not cycling correctly
Dec 4, 2024, 09:38Going lower in rate isn't going to help with slide lock function. The lower rate is for sub sonic ammo with less pressure. Slide lock issues are generally grip related with a thumb resting on the lock so handing the weapon off to other shooters will help see if the issue with the slide lock and jamming the slide at feeding is grip related.
